Hotel Indigo Bali Seminyak Beach becomes the first 5-star rated Hotel Indigo in the world

A Cultural Journey spanning ancients, artisans and free spirits

Having opened its doors in July 2017, Hotel Indigo Bali Seminyak Beach is an eclectically-designed hotel, which draws inspiration from the flavours, culture and character of its surrounding local neighbourhood, promising an authentic fusion of enchanting Balinese culture and contemporary creativity. Extending across 4.7 hectares of lush, landscaped grounds, the resort fronts the island’s most vibrant coastlines of Seminyak Beach and boasts 289 keys to their stylish rooms, suites and pool villas.

The 270 spacious rooms and suites present a striking mix of locally influenced design touches. Every guestroom is fitted with a daybed, plush bedding, spa-inspired bathroom and state-of-the-art features. Additionally, there are 19 villas with private outdoor swimming pool, whirlpool and grand bathroom with double vanities—all inspired by Balinese Hindu’s age-old Tri Hita Karana philosophy (one’s relationship with Gods, living beings, and the earth) showcasing a clever juxtaposition of contemporary design and ancient tradition.

Jean Hélière, General Manager of Hotel Indigo Bali Seminyak Beach, says “It is indeed a wonderful opportunity and I’m excited to be part of the flagship hotel of the InterContinental Hotels Group, the first Hotel Indigo in a resort location. I very much look forward to welcoming the guest with our passionate team to deliver our signature hospitality and continue to enhance the #staysurprise experience. We’re certain that every fascinating detail on their journey of discovery through fashionable Seminyak neighbourhood will deliver that.”

As a destination, Bali has always delighted guests with its ability to embrace the modern and traditional with a stylish and youthful zest — and nowhere is this more apparent than in Seminyak, a neighbourhood where the ocean breeze blends a fusion of village gamelan with modern music. And indeed where in every direction, the visitor can trace the neighbourhood’s story of a Cultural Journey — exploring its local communities and temples, where ceremonies and craft work retain the same daily rituals that connect you back to the heritage of the 15th century.

Welcoming guests at Hotel Indigo Bali Seminyak Beach is the expansive lobby space, called the Neighbourhood Gallery. A Balinese Subak-inspired wall structure, accents of verdant foliage, unique outdoor artworks by local artists and water fountains symbolize the tranquility of Semiyak and impart a soothing arrival experience. Signature geometric lines that decorate the resort are the creative interpretation of the traditional Balinese weaving textile, Tenun Songket.

There are seven lifestyle dining outlets at Hotel Indigo Bali Seminyak Beach with a destination to suit every moment and temptation, all helmed by our talented Executive Chef.
