This shop on Jalan Camplung Tanduk may be small in size, yet it is a hidden gem for the conscious consumers. Balitaza Green Shop offers skincare, condiments and more, and the good news is they are all homemade in Bali using natural ingredients with no preservatives.

Their selections of herbal soap are attractive, all are available at Rp. 38,000. Choices ranging from flower aroma like lavender, lotus, rose and frangipani to fruit-infused such as orange, manggo and lemon. They also have spice soaps – clove soap functions as anti-fungal, cinnamon for anti-septic while cocoa is rich with anti-oxydant – and scrub soap with options like seaweed for skin nutrition, charcoal for anti-toxin and volcanic clay for anti-cellulite.

The selections of Body Mask, priced at Rp. 95,000, are just as interesting. If you have dry skin, the coconut-infused body mask is your answer. But for an Indonesian traditional body mask at home, why don’t you bring home their Bali Boreh or Javanese Lulur?
